The Mantus Snubber Pendant is designed to attach the snubber line to chain/or line rode instead of a chain hook. It is made from UHMWPE fibre (Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene fibre) material known to be size for size as strong as steel.
Available in 3 sizes; 5mm, 8mm & 10mm.
The Mantus Snubber Pendant is used by many sailors instead of chain hooks to attach a snubber to the chain using a rolling hitch directly onto the chain rode.
The Mantus Snubber Pendant is easy to attach and much easier to remove after any significant loading, additionally the 5mm Pendant can be used on line rode as well by simply tying a 3 pass prusik knot, thus smaller boats that have mostly line anchor rode can still attach the bridle using the Snubber Pendant.
The 5mm snubber pendant can also be used to offload a line under load. A simple 3 pass prusik knot should be used for attachment and removal is easy even after > 1000 lbs (450 kilos) loading.
All pendants include an appropriately size 316 stainless steel shackle.
