Calypso Ultra-Low Power (ULP) SUMMIT Wired Ultrasonic Wired Wind Meter

The Calypso Ultra-Low Power SUMMIT Wired Ultrasonic wind speed and wind direction meter (anemometer) is a reliable and extremely accurate wind speed and direction device with minimal power consumption, and measures just 70mm in diameter and weighing only 340 grams.

Built using the latest solid-state ultrasonic technology the Calypso Ultra-Low Power SUMMIT Wired Sensor delivers many advantages over conventional cup and vane anemometers which have moving parts such as ball bearings that can bind with age or get easily damaged when hit by birds or fouled by flying debris.

The ULP SUMMIT Wind Meter measures both wind speed (air velocity) and wind direction. The unique shape of the design minimises moisture build-up guaranteeing data accuracy even in heavy rain. Constructed from anodised machined aluminium the sensor is both robust and durable, IPX8 rated and perfect for harsh environments.

The sensor data protocol is RS485 / MODBUS RTU (Poll or Stream) as standard.

The sensor is available in non-heated and heated options.

Requiring only 0,25mA @1Hz (RS485) the sensor is the perfect choice for accurately measuring wind speed and direction whilst minimising power consumption.

The Calypso Ultra-Low Power SUMMIT Wired Ultrasonic Anemometer can be easily mounted using a variety of solutions, including an aluminium or carbon fibre pole (33cm & 1m lengths) and an L shaped offset mast mount as well as a pole adaptor.
