Anchorlift Mako 1500 Series Windlass – Powerful Vertical Windlass for Boats 40-75 Feet

The Anchorlift Mako 1500 Series Windlass is designed for serious boaters who demand power, efficiency, and durability. Ideal for boats ranging from 40 to 75 feet, this compact vertical windlass features a 1500-watt motor that delivers reliable anchoring performance in even the harshest marine conditions. Its powerful motor, combined with a space-saving design, makes it perfect for large sailboats, motor yachts, and commercial vessels.

The low-profile design minimizes deck space usage while delivering smooth and silent operation from beneath the deck. Constructed from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, the deck unit and vertical shaft offer exceptional corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability in saltwater environments. The windlass also includes a capstan for optional warping operations, providing additional versatility.

When selecting a windlass system there are some important matters to consider:

  • boat size
  • displacement
  • windage
  • anchor size
  • chain size

Choosing a windlass system too small for your boat could result in compromising your safety and inevitably costly repairs. The most common way to rate a windlass is by its maximum pulling power (or lifting power) and maximum working load. Anchorlift offers windlasses in several sizes and design and motors from 400 – 4000 watts in 12, 24, 230 & 380 volt.
