Anchorlift Dolphin Windlass – Powerful & Compact Vertical Windlass for Boats 35-45 Feet

The Anchorlift Dolphin Windlass is the ultimate anchoring solution for boats ranging from 35 to 45 feet. This powerful, compact, and easy-to-install vertical windlass is specifically designed to maximise performance while minimising space usage on deck—ideal for sailboats, motor yachts, and larger recreational vessels.

The low-profile design allows for smooth and silent motor and gear operation from beneath the deck, ensuring quiet anchoring even in tight spaces. Constructed from marine-grade 316 stainless steel, the deck unit and vertical shaft provide unmatched durability and corrosion resistance, perfect for tough saltwater environments.

Powered by a robust 1000-watt motor, the Dolphin Windlass delivers a high-speed anchor drop of up to 130 feet per minute. It also features a manual free-fall function with an adjustable clutch, allowing for smooth, precise anchoring in various depths and conditions.

Easy to install, vertical windlasses are better protected from direct contact with salt water, since the gear & motor are installed underneath the deck. Dolphin windlasses work with both ‘chain only’ or a ‘rope/chain’ combinations.

When selecting a windlass system there are some important matters to consider:

  • boat size
  • displacement
  • windage
  • anchor size
  • chain size

Choosing a windlass system too small for your boat could result in compromising your safety and inevitably costly repairs. The most common way to rate a windlass is by its maximum pulling power (or lifting power) and maximum working load. Anchorlift offers windlasses in several sizes and design and motors from 400 – 4000 watts in 12, 24, 230 & 380 volt.
