At just 70mm in diameter, this handheld ultrasonic wind meter delivers reliable, professional-grade wind speed and wind direction data in a compact, portable form.

Built with advanced solid-state ultrasonic technology, the Calypso Portable Solar Sensor offers significant advantages over traditional cup and vane anemometers. With no moving parts to wear out, seize, or break, it avoids issues like bearing failure, damage from bird strikes, or fouling from ropes, ensuring durability and consistent accuracy even in harsh marine conditions.

The Ultrasonic Portable Solar Wind Meter measures both air velocity and wind direction with precision. With Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, you can view real-time wind data on a variety of free-to-market apps within a 50-meter line-of-sight range. Data can be saved, downloaded, and analyzed in Excel or CSV formats, or mapped for advanced reporting and performance review.

Designed for easy installation, the Calypso Solar Powered Anemometer features an industry-standard 16mm (M16X2) female thread commonly used on marine VHF antenna mounts. Multiple mounting options are available, including lightweight aluminium and carbon fibre masts (33cm & 1m), L-shaped offset mounts, GoPro screw attachments, and tripods — ensuring a versatile, fit-and-forget solution for any setup.

The wireless, solar-powered design charges an internal battery, providing up to 29 days of continuous operation in the dark and over a year in sleep mode, making it the perfect low-maintenance solution for long-term use.
